Time and Materials and Full Quote Clause
In addition to the general terms and conditions outlined above, the following clause applies specifically to projects conducted on a time and materials basis or through a full quote:
1. Time and Materials Projects:
a. Pricing: For projects billed on a time and materials basis, the client will be invoiced based on the actual time spent on the project and the cost of materials used. Hourly rates for labor and the markup percentage on materials will be provided in the proposal or contract.
b. Time Tracking: Our team will accurately track the time spent on the project, including labor hours, travel time, and any other relevant activities. Time tracking records may be made available to the client upon request for transparency.
c. Materials Documentation: Receipts or documentation of materials purchased for the project will be provided to the client upon request or included in the project invoice. The client has the right to review and verify the cost of materials used.
d. Change Orders: If there are any changes to the scope of work, the client will be informed in writing of any potential impact on project costs and timelines. A change order must be agreed upon and signed by both parties before the changes are implemented.
e. Billing and Payments: Invoices for time and materials projects will be provided periodically, typically on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on the project duration. Payment terms and due dates will be specified in the invoice. The client agrees to make prompt payment for the invoiced amounts.
2. Full Quote Projects:
a. Pricing: For projects conducted on a full quote basis, a detailed quotation will be provided, outlining the total cost of the project, including labor, materials, taxes, and any additional charges. The quotation will remain valid for the specified period, usually mentioned within the quotation itself.
b. Payment Terms: Payment terms for full quote projects will be specified in the quotation or contract. Typically, a deposit may be required before the project commences, with further payments made according to predetermined milestones or a final payment upon project completion.
c. Change Orders: Any requested changes or additional work not specified in the original quotation may result in additional costs. These changes must be agreed upon in writing and may require an updated quotation or change order before implementation.
3. Estimation Accuracy: While we make every effort to provide accurate estimations for time and materials projects or full quote projects, it is important to note that unforeseen circumstances or project complexities may result in variations in the final cost. We will communicate any significant variations to the client as soon as they become apparent.
This time and materials and full quote clause is an integral part of our terms and conditions. By accepting our services and proceeding with a time and materials project or full quote project, the client acknowledges and agrees to comply with the provisions outlined in this clause.
